Fall is officially here which made for a chilly afternoon as the Randleman Tigers hosted PAC-7 Conference opponent Eastern Randolph on Thursday in varsity soccer action. Both teams came ready to play in this one as it was a battle from the beginning. Randleman would be the first to strike as they took a 1-0 lead during the first few minutes of the first half. Jairo Chavez set up Mike Morales with a perfect pass for the goal. The defense would win out during the next thirty minutes of play as both teams had difficulty putting the ball into the back of the net. After going scoreless for most of the half, the Wildcats finally broke through with a goal from Yane Juanito Jaimes at the 5:32 mark. Both teams tried to take the lead going into halftime, but neither could. At the half, this one was all tied up at 1-1.

David Porcayo-Sesmas sent the ball right past Muro to give the Wildcats a 2-1 advantage over the Tigers. Randleman tried to respond, but the Wildcats did an excellent job of keeping the ball on their own end of the field. It was not until late in the half that the Tigers managed to get the ball past midfield, but they still struggled to score. Randleman put a couple of shots on goal as time was winding down, but Eastern Randolph’s defense stepped up to secure the win. The Wildcats picked up a 2-1 win over the Tigers.
